When do guests mark their squares?
As gifts are opened. Each square is a gift someone is likely to give — a onesie, a bottle, a stack of diapers — and guests mark it when it comes out of the wrapping paper.
What if the same gift gets opened twice?
Guests mark it once. Duplicates are common at showers, so the game usually works better with a full-card or four-corners rule than with a single line.

How do I print them?
The download is a US Letter PDF you can print at home or at a copy shop. Choose one, two or four cards per page — four is the paper-saving option, one gives the biggest squares to mark. Ordinary paper is fine; cardstock holds up better if the cards get handled all evening.
Can I change the words?
